Bamolux - innovative collaboration for sustainable beekeeping: a meeting between a Luxembourgish carpenter and a beekeeper

Luxembourg honey: When artisan cabinetmaker Bamolux meets beekeeping

In the heart of Luxembourg, a unique collaboration is emerging between an artisan cabinetmaker and a passionate beekeeper.

Our goal: to create an ecological and 100% local beehive, for the benefit of bees and biodiversity.

A 100% Made in Luxembourg beehive: the Luxembourgish, eco-friendly and local hive

Artisanal know-how serving the environment

Bamolux, with over 50 years of expertise, is applying its skills to assist the beekeeper by designing beehives made from sustainable, local wood. The wood, sourced from Luxembourgish forests, provides a healthy and optimal habitat for the bees. Each hive is handcrafted with care and precision, ensuring incomparable quality and longevity.

A strong commitment to organic beekeeping

Beekeeper Geoffroy Vigneron, manager of Honapi Luxembourg, a fervent defender of organic beekeeping, is committed to using no chemical products in his hives. The bees can thus forage freely in a natural and preserved environment in a Natura 2000 zone in Remich, contributing to the pollination of fruit trees from the organic market gardener co-labor and to the preservation of biodiversity.

An innovative and disruptive project

The collaboration between the artisan cabinetmaker - Bamolux - and the beekeeper has given birth to a one-of-a-kind beehive. 100% made in Luxembourg, it represents an ecological and sustainable alternative to traditional hives. This innovative and disruptive project has the potential to revolutionize Luxembourgish beekeeping by encouraging local and responsible honey production.

Bamolux sponsorship and partnership: a responsible commitment

To support this ambitious project, a sponsorship and partnership system has been established.

Recently B Corp certified, Bamolux is committed to societal, environmental, and governance requirements, as well as transparency toward the public. It is important to them to raise public awareness about the importance of biodiversity and environmental issues.

Bamolux has chosen the royal path to celebrate its B Corp certification: by recruiting an army of 200,000 worker bees!

Starting in spring 2024, our buzzing colleagues will join the team on the hillsides of Remich. With the expert help of Geoffroy Vigneron (aka Doctor Bee), we will deploy 5 hives to boost pollination and spice up Luxembourg's biodiversity.
